The leaves are starting to fall at our latest campsite. I tried to build a fire, I really failed. I did burn through a lot of bounty paper towels. Then, with a half @ss fire burning, I tried to cook hot dogs. I will not make it on survivor... But my hair smells of wood smoke, and wine always makes the food taste better!
We went to Skaneateles, one of the finger lakes in upstate New York, to go on a dinner cruise.
We went out with Mid-Lakes Navigation on a 3 hour tour. I know, the song is going through your head from Gilligan's Island.
It was a lovely dinner cruise, the food was, OK, the narration difficult to hear, but it was a beautiful evening and we had nice company at our table.
This is Phil (on the right). He is a CRNA and is going to do what I am doing now! Yea for him. He and Jakey are the ones that invited us to go on this outing. We were also invited to dinner at their (soon to be empty) apartment in downtown Syracuse. Another CRNA joined us (Siggi)! We had such a GREAT time. Great food and conversation. We are lucky to meet such great people.
These are a few of the upstate wines I purchased. Do not run out to the store to get these, but they are not bad. A little on the sweet side, but interesting.
Oh, I forgot, we sent to the Destiny Mall in Syracuse. One of the largest malls in the country. I think we saw on fourth of it. We gave up and went to the Cheesecake Factory! A mall, is a mall to me.
Besides that, I miss you all and will be back in November! Where from there, we do not know!
