It's how I got my name. My mother was so sure I was going to be a boy that when I was born, she was at a loss for a girl name. So my father said "all you did was rave on about a little boy, so, she is little "rave on". Changed the spelling around and TA DAH! Girl name.

Cold, failed fire, buggies, Mark, Heather, and a weird solar house. Retirement party and Little River Band!
It is getting colder here. I tried to start a fire. Epic fail, but everyone has now clued me in to fire starters. I purchased some, we shall see how that works. By the way, you can cook marshmallows over a candle... Smores, yum!
There is a large Amish community in upstate New York. Buggy signs are all around and of course, I had to try to get some pictures!
Welcome to Canada. We went up on Sunday to visit Mark and Heather. We had a lovely time visiting. The picture below is Heather on their porch.
The following picture is of a house we passed on the way to Mark and Heather's place, we just had to take a picture on the way home. The solar panel on the roof rotates to capture as much sun as possible. There are solar arrays all over this area of Canada. The government sponsored solar power, and many Canadians took them up on it.
One of the places I work at, had a retirement party for a CRNA. They kindly invited me to join them. This barbershop quartet were wonderful to listen to, and Terry joined in (he was in a barbershop quartet also). Terry retired at 74 years young. I wish the best for him and his family.
We were able to see the Little River Band last thursday. They were great to see on stage. Good show, I forgot how many hits they had! Yes, I sang along with all of them!
On the Little River Band facebook page, there are actually pictures of me, holy crap, did I get old. I'm not going to post those pictures.
We are doing little to nothing this weekend. It was 37 degrees last night. We are using all the different heating systems in our motorhome. Next week is Ian's Birthday. We have a Brunch train trip through the Adirondacks scheduled! Should be fun.
