It's how I got my name. My mother was so sure I was going to be a boy that when I was born, she was at a loss for a girl name. So my father said "all you did was rave on about a little boy, so, she is little "rave on". Changed the spelling around and TA DAH! Girl name.

Leaving Florida

It was a surprise to see that everyone is leaving Florida. It took over 6 hours to go 225 miles up to Georgia.
For those of you who wonder what it is like to drive a 45 foot motorhome, towing a Chevy Malibu, it is VERY intimidating. Shout out to Judy and Mike, truck drivers are amazingly kind!
We stayed overnight at Coastal Georgia RV Resort, in Brunswick Georgia. It was not coastal, but it was perfect for our needs. We both had driven the motorhome, and we were both tired. We had plenty to eat and drink (hooray for wine). So we had an early night, and slept well. Just a mention to our friend Tony Fiorello. The big rig is very quiet, and very easy to sleep in, even with a queen bed and 2 cats!
We left Coastal Georgia RV resort at a reasonable time and headed up 283 miles to.... wait for it... South of the Border! Camp Pedro! I know, what were we thinking. But once again, the site meets our needs, pull through, cheap and an ice cream place. Yay!

On the way to Disney World
Fort Wilderness, Walt Disney World
We stayed at the campgrounds for 2 days, then headed for what we thought was a day of maintenance on our 2004 motorhome. This turned into a 10 day stay in "service bay 88" at Lazy Days RV in Tampa. This was not exactly the vacation we were looking to have, but, the motorhome is well serviced now and we returned to Disney for the last day of our vacation. We encountered some Disney Magic when we were told on the phone that nothing was available. We stopped by the front desk to retrieve an item we had lost and Brandon, a cast member (I hope I have his name correct), was able to secure a place for us to stay the night. I was exhausted and almost in tears after our long stay in a service bay. To be able to stay in a lovely place for the night was a relief. We were able to visit with my (now 16!) sister and her mom and extended family. We are very lucky!
